ALL unannounced and mostly undetected there has come in modern times a new cross into popular evangelical circles. It is like the old cross, but different; the likenesses are superficial, the differences fundamental. From this new cross has sprung a new philosophy of the Christian life;
Romans 12:2 – “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”
Matthew 16:26 – “For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?”
The Church and the World walked far apart,
On the changing shore of time;
The World was singing a giddy song,
And the Church a hymn sublime.
“Come give me your hand,” said the merry World
God has commanded all men everywhere to repent.
THE big percent of the professing Christian churches today are preaching unsound doctrine to people with itching ears, having turned their ears from the truth, listening to fables and calling it the Gospel. 2 Tim. 4:3-4, There is only one Gospel recorded in the Word of God, and that says you repent first. None can experience salvation without repentance, Acts 3:19.
